I
am a licensed marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 year’s expertise
and experience as healing professional.
My areas of specialization include relationships,
parenting, grief,
addictions and body-related problems such as body image and eating disorders,
chronic pain, fertility issues.
I
work with individuals, couples and groups in a corporate work environment. As a certified
Integrative Body
Psychotherapist, I utilize somatic approaches to help clients achieve balance
and well-being through integration of the physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual aspects of the human experience. I am currently on the faculty of the Integrative Body
Psychotherapy Central Institute in Santa Monica, California.
Combining
my background as a professionally trained musician and an early childhood development specialist, Icreated and now facilitate
an unique, multi-cultural music and movement program for infants and young children together with their parents and caretakers.
I am
a certified Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructure with training in body and movement disciplines such as a cranio-sacral
and lymphatic drainage massage, reflexology, Zen shiatsu, Iyengar yoga and t’ai chi among others. I have also studied
and trained in the healing traditions of several of the world’s native cultures, with an in-depth focus on Brazilian
shamanism and Tibetan Buddhism.
My personal practice includes yoga and t’ai chi as well as Vipassana and Tibetan meditation. Through my extensive experience with both ancient and modern healing modalities. I have a deep understanding
and respect for the Body, Mind and Spirit that enhances and enriches my work as a Body Psychotherapist.
